President Barack Obama has made resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a top priority, and how he moves forward on this pivotal issue will be the subject of much discussion for years to come. On October 28 at 7:00pm FIU's Middle East Society presents Jonathan Schanzer, Deputy Director of the Jewish Policy Center in Washington, D.C. and author of Hamas Versus Fatah: The Struggle for Palestine (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2008). Schanzer will discuss one of the most misunderstood components of this complex region: internal Palestinian dynamics. The event, co-sponsored by FIU’s Judaic Studies Program, the Jewish Community Relations Council, and FIU’s Student Government Association, will take place at FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus at the Wolfe University Center (WUC), Room 155.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is free. For more information, please contact Shlomi Dinar, Director of the Middle East Society, at 305-919-4839.
