Who Were the Rescuers during the Holocaust?

Suzanne Vromen, Professor Emeritus of Sociology, Bard College, and author of Hidden Children of the Holocaust: Belgian Nuns and Their Daring Rescue of Young Jews from the Nazis (Oxford University Press, 2008), will speak on the topic, "Who Were the Rescuers during the Holocaust?" at 11:00 am on Monday, March 30, 2009 in room PC 310 at FIU University Park. Dr. Vromen's lecture will examine the phenomenon of rescue from a variety of angles, including motivating factors, timing and opportunity, forms of rescue, and actual profiles of rescuers.
